Want to serve God with PYV?

A PYV Leader

  • Believes that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour, and believes the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the word of God.
  • Has a heart for young people and desires to the share the good news about Jesus with them.
  • Agrees to be bound by:
    • PCV Safe Church Policy and Code of Conduct
    • PCV Privacy Policy
    • PYV Leader’s Declaration of Commitment
    • PYC Policies and Procedures
  • Is endorsed by your local pastor and approved by the PYV to be a volunteer leader
  • Holds a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Card (WWCC), has completed Safe Church Basic Training prior to leading on their first camp and completed a Volunteer Approval Form with their local congregation approving them to work with youth and children. 
  • If you already have a WWCC, make sure you add PYV to the list of organisations you volunteer with.

This is how to become a PYV volunteer leader:

1. Express interest

Express interest by chatting or emailing with an event convenor or your local pastor. They will pass on your expression of interest to the Leadership Accrediation subcommittee (LAC) or to PYC Admin <admin@pyv.org.au>. If the LAC confirm your interest they will invite you to proceed and complete the application form below.

2. Filling in the following Application Form

The PYV is committed to providing our youth with leaders who are equipped to nurture and teach them. This application is to demonstrate that you are qualified to be a PYV leader by outlining your training and experience.

Click here for the PYV Leader Application Form. Once you complete and submit your application form a member of the PYC Leadership Accrediation subcommittee will be in contact with you.
