What is PYV Workshop Online - Singing?
We encourage youth groups to integrate this workshop into their Friday night program. For example, you meet at your regular time to play some games and share food, before joining together to watch the online workshop - rather than doing a bible study or talk. For leaders wishing to register on behalf of your youth group click here. If you're a youth, why not ask your leader if they've registered?
If your church doesn't have a youth group or isn't running on this night, we still want you to be involved! Take this opportunity to connect with youth across Victoria and click here to register as an individual.
This workshop's topic is Singing. We hope it helps you grow and enables you to better worship God through song. Andy May from Bundoora Presbyterian will be sharing a talk, while Aradie Walters from North Geelong Presbyterian will be sharing show singing has shaped her love for Jesus. She will also lead us in a song.
Those who register will receive a viewing link in the days leading up to the workshop.
About the Speakers
Aradie started playing in church when she was about 13 years old because the organist retired and there was no one else. She was inexperienced and panicky but eventually figured out how to do what she needed to do to keep the music going. Aradie has been involved in playing and singing worship music ever since, growing in her love for Jesus as she discovered more about this unique way to connect mind, heart and soul in worship. Aradie currently attends Geelong West Presbyterian Church and owns a music school in Werribee where she teaches singing and piano.
